Just recently, while out grocery shopping, I noticed these sweet and comfy looking outfits. They were inexpensive - and I decided to get them for Matthew and Ivanna. They look super comfortable for travelling back on the plane ride. I bet they are too big, but I will roll up sleeves and waists if need be. I just could not resist. When you are expecting a child in the traditional way - you prepare by getting things ready and outfits for coming home from the hospital in, well - you need to do that when adopting too. It's just that you buy toddler sizes instead of newborn. :) I have been so focused on paperwork - that this was a nice way to make what we are doing a bit more tangible.
To envision sweet Matthew and Ivanna in these outfits puts a smile on my face and warms my heart. Just think - this is probably the FIRST outfit EVER purchased just for them. Breaks my heart.
Oh, and big brother Isaac is just a tad excited too - as you can tell from the pictures!

It is so exciting yet heartbreaking to be able to buy things for our children who have never had anything of their own. I think we are blessed by it more than they are. They don't realize what they have missed, but we do. Praying that you are all united soon!

I was just talking to Luba today about how many of these sweet babes ever own a piece of clothing...But now Matthew and Ivanna do!!!! God is so good. Can't wait to kiss them.
Wonderful and comfy! I remember those velour outfits being a big hit with my daughter. Brushed fleece was a nother favorite when my kids were that age. It was the only thing my son would wear with his tactile aversions.
I don't know if Amanda sent it yet but I found a book of my daughter's that made me think of Ivanna so I gave it to Amanda for you. It's Polly Anna.
The outfits are adorable. Matthew and Ivanna will look so cute in them. I also have bought a few outfits for Alyona, but I must admit, it's kind of strange shopping for my child and not having any idea how big she is.
